Breakdown
How the numbers work
Vestiaire’s US self-list model (new listings from July 18, 2025) is a three-band selling fee plus a separate processing line:
- Under $83: flat $10 selling fee (not 12%).
- $83 to $16,667: 12% of the final sale price.
- Over $16,667: flat $2,000 selling fee (a high-price cap).
- Processing on every sale: 3% of the sale price, with a $3 minimum.
- Listing: free. Vestiaire will not accept items listed under $18.
Unique angle vs typical Vestiaire fee pages: this tool highlights the $83 floor cliff. Just under $83 you still pay the flat $10 + $3 processing = $13. At exactly $83 you pay 12% + max(3%, $3) = $12.96 — so pricing a $80–$82.99 piece a few dollars higher can raise your keep. The compare rows always show $82.99 vs $83 so you can see that gap.
Example: $400 mid-band sale → selling $48.00 (12%) + processing $12.00 (3%) = $60.00 fees → you keep $340.00 before product and packing (15% effective).
Example: $80 low-band sale → selling $10.00 + processing $3.00 = $13.00 → keep $67.00 (16.3% effective). Same item at $83 → fees $12.96 → keep $70.04.
Buyer authentication (~$15 on Authenticated Shipping) and the buyer service fee (typically 5–28%) are charged to the buyer and are not subtracted from your self-list payout. Consignment (“you keep up to 80%”) and Professional seller schedules are different machines — not included here.

FAQ
What does Vestiaire take on a typical US self-list sale?
Between $83 and $16,667: 12% selling fee + 3% processing (min $3) on the final sale price. Under $83 the selling fee is a flat $10 (plus $3 min processing). Over $16,667 the selling fee caps at a flat $2,000 plus 3% processing.
Why is pricing just under $83 worse?
The low band uses a flat $10 selling fee. At $82.99 that is about 12.05% before processing; at $83 the mid-band 12% kicks in and total fees drop slightly. Use the compare rows to see the keep gap. Vestiaire also will not list under $18.
Do I pay the $15 authentication fee as the seller?
No on the official buyer authentication Help article. The ~$15 (or £15) authentication fee on Authenticated Shipping is a buyer charge. Buyer service fees (often 5–28%) are also buyer-side. This calculator only deducts seller selling + processing fees.
Is Europe the same 12%?
No. This page models US sellers listing in USD only. Vestiaire’s Help tables use different mid-band percentages and floors by currency (for example EUR mid-band is higher than the USD 12% family). Confirm the Help article for your listing currency.
Self-list vs consignment?
Self-list: you photograph, price, and ship; Vestiaire deducts selling + processing from the sale price (this tool). Consignment: they handle intake through shipping and pay you a published keep % of sold price (often lower keep than self-list because the service is bundled). Professional sellers have a separate downloadable schedule. Neither consignment nor Professional rates are modeled here.
Is this exact to the penny Vestiaire will take?
No. It is an estimate from Vestiaire’s published US Seller Selling Fees article (new listings from July 18, 2025). Promotions, Professional rates, consignment, Direct vs Authenticated Shipping mix, currency conversion, and tax treatment can change the payout. Match a settled sale in your Vestiaire account and re-check Help before you price inventory.
