How the numbers work
For a typical US Verified Marketplace sale (StockX Help):
- Transaction fee by seller level on the final sale price: Level 1 = 9%, Level 2 = 8.5%, Level 3 = 8%, Level 4 = 7.5%, Level 5 = 7%. Levels are set by trailing quarterly sales count and dollar volume.
- US minimum transaction fee of $5.00 — if the percentage fee is under $5, StockX still takes $5.
- 3% payment processing on the final sale price, on every Verified sale, every level.
Example: Level 1, $200 sale. Transaction 9% = $18.00 (above the $5 min) + processing 3% = $6.00 → total fees $24.00. You keep $176.00 before product cost and shipping to authentication. On a $40 sale at Level 1, 9% would be $3.60, so the $5.00 minimum applies instead, plus $1.20 processing.
Listings Marketplace (invite/waitlist) is different: StockX currently charges no standard selling, processing, or shipping fees there; buyers cover those. This calculator models Verified Marketplace.
FAQ
Where do I see my seller level?
StockX Help says to check Profile in Account Settings for your current Seller Level, transaction fees, and selling stats. Quarterly sales (count and dollars) set the next level.
Does the $5 minimum replace the percentage?
Yes for US sellers: StockX lists a $5.00 United States minimum seller fee. You pay the greater of the level percentage or $5 on the transaction fee. Processing is still 3% on top.
Is shipping to StockX included in these fees?
No. The Help Center fee article covers transaction + processing (and notes Listings has no standard shipping fee for sellers). Getting the item to the authentication center is your cost — use the optional shipping field to see profit after that.
What about Flex or Listings?
This tool is for Verified Marketplace seller-level fees. Listings Marketplace (select sellers) currently has $0 standard selling/processing/shipping fees per StockX Help. Flex and storage rules are separate — check StockX Help for Flex before relying on those numbers.
Is this exact to the penny StockX will take?
No. It is an estimate using published StockX Help rates as of mid-2026. Penalties, returns, verification failures, Flex, and regional minimums can change the payout. Confirm in your seller profile before you ask.
