How the numbers work

Newegg bills SBN on outbound shipping weight: the greater of unit weight and dimensional weight (length × width × height in inches ÷ 166), rounded up to the next whole pound (Special Oversize uses unit weight only). That weight and the package’s longest sides place you in a size tier with a published weight-handling fee.

Small Standard-Size (L ≤ 14.25″, W ≤ 9.5″, H ≤ 0.75″, unit weight ≤ 15.99 oz): $3.73 at ≤10 oz, $3.93 at 10+–15.99 oz.
Large Standard-Size (L ≤ 25″, W ≤ 17″, H ≤ 12″, weight ≤ 20 lb): $4.85 / $5.19 under 1 lb; $7.30 for 1–2 lb; then $7.30 + $0.52 per lb above the first 2 lb through 20 lb.
Small Oversize (L ≤ 60″, W ≤ 30″, L+girth ≤ 130″, ≤70 lb): $10.21 + $0.52/lb above first 2 lb.

Free Shipping Enabler adds $0.68 (<1 lb), $2.71 (standard 1–20 lb), $3.40 (small/medium oversize), $8.00 (large oversize), or $135.52 (special oversize) per unit when that program applies.

Example: a 12 × 9 × 4 in box at 2.4 lb has dim weight 2.60 lb → outbound 3 lb, Large Standard at $7.30 + $0.52 = $7.82. With Professional 5% that is $7.43. One month non-peak storage on 0.25 cu ft is about $0.15. Stack 10% commission + $0.29 on a $149.99 sale and the all-in Newegg take is commission $15.00 + $0.29 + SBN $7.43 + storage ≈ $22.87.

FAQ

How is dimensional weight calculated?

Newegg’s SBN page defines dimensional weight as length × width × height (inches) ÷ 166. Outbound shipping weight is the greater of unit weight and dim weight, rounded up to the next whole pound — except Special Oversize, which uses unit weight rounded up.

Is Enterprise 8% or 10% off SBN?

Both figures appear on Newegg-owned pages fetched 2026-10-14. The SBN rate calculator and Elite plan cards list Enterprise at 8% and Professional at 5%. The Elite Seller FAQ and Elite Seller Guide PDF list Enterprise at 10%. This calculator defaults to the 8% shown next to the fee table; confirm the discount on your settlement.

Does SBN replace Marketplace commission?

No. Category commission (8% / 10% / 12%) and the $0.29 order processing fee still apply on Newegg Marketplace sales. SBN is the fulfillment line on top. Elite SBN Incentive Program notes also mention up to a 0.5 percentage-point commission discount on qualifying SBN orders — not modeled here.

What about Multichannel Fulfillment?

Orders fulfilled for other channels use a different table (order handling + pick & pack + per-pound weight handling by shipping speed). This page models Newegg-channel size-tier weight handling only.

When does Professional pay for itself on SBN alone?

Professional costs $49.95/mo and cuts SBN (and Shipping Label Service) fees by 5%. On fulfillment alone you need about $999 of monthly SBN fees before discount ($49.95 ÷ 0.05) for the discount to cover the subscription — often the per-SKU waiver and listing tools matter more. Is this my exact SBN charge?

It is a planning estimate from Newegg’s published US SBN tables. Newegg’s own Rate Calculator, Seller Portal invoices, and measured weights/dimensions are the final word. Inbound transfer, returns, disposal, relabeling, and Canadian SBN rates are separate.
