Newegg Marketplace commission fee calculator
Estimate what Newegg keeps on a US sale: category commission (8%, 10%, or 12%), the $0.29 order processing fee, and your seller-plan cost. Compare Non-Elite ($0.99 per unique SKU sold) against Professional ($49.95/mo) and Enterprise ($99.95/mo), see the break-even, and toggle the new-seller 6% window. Nothing is uploaded.
Breakdown
How the numbers work
Newegg Marketplace takes a category commission when you sell, plus a flat $0.29 order processing fee on every order. Membership adds a third line: Non-Elite pays $0.99 per unique SKU sold that month; Professional is $49.95/mo and Enterprise is $99.95/mo, both of which waive the per-SKU fee.
- 8% industries: Appliance, Camera & Photo, Cell Phones, Consumer Electronics, Video Game Consoles.
- 10%: Computer Hardware.
- 12%: Accessories, Apparel, Home & Living, Sports, Other, and the rest of the industry list.
- New-seller savings: eligible first-time sellers who start on or after April 1, 2026 get a rebate that makes commission an effective 6% for the first 90 days from account activation.
- Unsold listing fee: $0.0050 per month for each active SKU listed over a year with no sales (not modeled in the per-order math above).
Plan break-even is simple: Professional beats Non-Elite once $0.99 × unique SKUs sold exceeds $49.95 — about 51 unique SKUs that sell in the month (order fee is the same on every plan). Enterprise needs about 101 unique SKUs sold to beat Non-Elite on plan cost alone.
Example: a $149.99 Computer Hardware item, Non-Elite, 40 orders and 25 unique SKUs in the month. Commission $15.00 + order fee $0.29 + plan share $0.62 ($0.99×25 ÷ 40) = $15.91 in Newegg fees. You keep $134.08 before product and shipping cost. Flip on new-seller 6% and commission drops to $9.00, total fees $9.91.
FAQ
Is the $0.99 charged per unit or per SKU?
Per unique SKU that sells in the month, not per unit. If one SKU sells 10 times, Non-Elite still pays $0.99 for that SKU that month. Professional and Enterprise waive that fee.
Does every plan pay the $0.29 order fee?
Yes. Newegg’s Elite Seller Program KB and NeweggBusiness sellers page both state a $0.29 order processing fee on all orders, effective August 1, 2023. Plan choice does not remove it.
When is Professional worth it?
When your Non-Elite SKU fees would exceed $49.95 — roughly 51 unique SKUs that sell in a month. You also unlock higher listing limits and other Elite tools; this page only prices the fee math.
Is shipping part of the commission base?
Newegg’s public US commission tables show the category percentage but do not clearly state whether buyer-paid shipping is included. Global Selling Program terms mention purchase price plus shipping for some seller-shipped cases. This calculator defaults to item price only; check the box if your settlement shows shipping in the commission base.
What is the new-seller 6% rate?
Eligible first-time domestic and international Newegg Marketplace sellers who start selling on or after April 1, 2026 receive a rebate equal to the gap between their standard category rate and 6% for 90 days from account activation. Conditions and exclusions apply — see the footnote on newegg.com/sellers.
Is this my exact Newegg charge?
It is a planning estimate from Newegg’s published US rates. Seller Portal Commission Reference, your membership invoice, and settlement reports are the final word. SBN fulfillment, shipping labels, ads, and the $0.0050 unsold-listing fee are separate.
