    Fees by price

Same shipping, tax and processor as above. The $0.49 fixed fee hurts most on cheap cards; the 13.25% eBay fee hurts most on expensive ones.

    How the numbers work

Seller fee. MySlabs charges a percentage of the agreed offer or Buy It Now price when an item sells. Its fee table on the Guidelines page lists 3% for every live category. There's no listing fee, and auctions follow the same rules. Shipping and tax aren't part of this fee.

Processing. Buyers pay through PayPal Goods & Services or Stripe, and the seller pays 3.49% + $0.49 on the whole payment: price, shipping and sales tax. MySlabs collects and remits the tax through TaxJar, but processing on it still comes out of your payout. PayPal adds 1.5%–2% when the buyer pays from an international account.

Buyer fee. The buyer pays a 1% fee on the price, shown before checkout. It doesn't come out of your payout. This page assumes MySlabs bills it separately, so it isn't in the processing base.

Example: a $100 slab with $5 shipping to a buyer in a 7% state that taxes shipping. Tax is $7.35, so the buyer's payment is $112.35, plus their $1 buyer fee. MySlabs takes $3.00. Stripe takes 3.49% of $112.35 plus $0.49, or $4.41, and $0.43 of that is on shipping and tax. You receive $97.59, or $93.09 after $4.50 postage: $33.09 profit on a $60 card. The same sale on eBay costs $15.29 and nets $85.21, so MySlabs keeps you $7.88 more.

    FAQ

What is the MySlabs seller fee in 2026?

3% of the agreed or Buy It Now price. MySlabs' fee table lists 3% for every live category: slabbed cards, slabbed comics, wax, raw cards, raw comics, supplies, memorabilia and Funko Pops. On top of that the seller pays PayPal or Stripe processing of 3.49% + $0.49. The buyer pays a separate 1% buyer fee.

Why do some pages say MySlabs charges 2%, 1% or 0%?

They're out of date or wrong. MySlabs' About page and a 2023 review still say 2% on slabs and 3% on raw. An older terms page says 1% with a $1 minimum and mentions PayPal-only payments and NFTs. Some third-party calculators say 0%. The current Guidelines page has the fee table at 3% for every category, and its legal terms call 2% a minimum for slabs and wax, which 3% satisfies. This calculator uses 3% and lets you change it.

Does MySlabs charge processing fees on shipping and sales tax?

Yes. MySlabs says processing fees are charged on the entire purchase amount, including sales tax and shipping. The 3% seller fee is on the item price only. On a $100 card with $5 shipping and 7% tax, processing is 3.49% of $112.35 plus $0.49, or $4.41, which is more than the $3 MySlabs fee.

Is MySlabs cheaper than eBay for selling cards?

Per sale, yes. eBay takes 13.25% of the total (item, shipping and tax) on trading cards up to $7,500, plus $0.30 or $0.40 per order. MySlabs takes 3% plus 3.49% + $0.49 processing. On a $100 card with $5 shipping and 7% tax you keep $97.59 on MySlabs before postage and $89.71 on eBay. eBay has far more buyers, so a card may sell faster or higher there.

What other MySlabs fees can a seller pay?

A $30 non-refundable fee if a buyer opens a Stripe dispute or chargeback, PayPal's own dispute fees, and 1.5%–2% extra on payments from international PayPal accounts. If a slab is lightly damaged in transit you may owe the buyer a re-slab fee or 1% of the purchase, whichever is greater. MySlabs Unlimited costs $11 a month or $99 a year, and its escrow service costs 3% of declared value with a $25 minimum, plus shipping and insurance.
