How the numbers work

For a typical Grailed sale on or after May 20, 2026 (Grailed Help):

Tiered seller commission: 6% with a $1.99 minimum when the commission sale price is under $120; 9% when it is $120 or more.
Commission sale price: listing price + any shipping you charge the buyer — unless you use a Grailed Label, in which case commission is on the listing price only.
Payment processing is separate: Stripe-onboarded US domestic is 3.49% + $0.49. Other setups cost more (see the dropdown).

Example: an $80 listing + $12 buyer-paid shipping, own label, Stripe domestic. Commission base = $92 (under $120 → 6% = $5.52). Processing on the $92 checkout = $3.70. Total fees $9.22. You keep $82.78 before product cost. With a Grailed Label on the same $80 listing, commission drops to 6% of $80 = $4.80 (shipping stays out of the commission base).

FAQ

Does the $120 threshold include shipping?

Yes, when you are not using a Grailed Label. Grailed defines sale price as listing price plus buyer-paid shipping for commission. That total also picks the 6% vs 9% tier. A $110 item with $15 charged shipping sits at $125 and pays 9%.

What does a Grailed Label change?

With a Grailed Label, commission is calculated on the listing price only. Shipping charged to the buyer is not added to the commission sale price. Processing still follows how the buyer pays.

Why is there a $1.99 minimum on the 6% tier?

Grailed Help lists a $1.99 minimum on the reduced under-$120 rate. On a $20 sale, 6% would be $1.20, so the fee becomes $1.99 instead.

Is processing included in the 6%/9%?

No. Grailed states the seller commission is separate from payment processing. Stripe-onboarded domestic sellers typically see 3.49% + $0.49 on top of commission.

Is this exact to the penny Grailed will take?
